Scott Stanley is the founder of Pharos Wealth Management, a firm headquartered in Bainbridge Island, WA that works passionately with individuals, families, and businesses to plan, manage and pursue their financial goals. In 2016, Scott founded the firm because he discovered a need: Sound and personalized advice in navigating the opaque, confusing world of financial planning. Before Pharos Wealth Management, he worked as a tenured Portfolio Manager and Wealth Advisor at a boutique wealth management firm in Marin County.
Scott holds his FINRA Series 7&66 with LPL Financial, the #1 Independent Broker Dealer in the country.* He has a rich background in investment research and analysis, financial planning and modeling, portfolio management, and team management. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® certificant**, has a Bachelor of Science in Corporate Finance, and is licensed as a Resident Insurance Producer (Life, Accident & Health).
When he's not working, Scott donates his time to the community. He spent years working with the Spahr Center as treasurer and a member of the board. The Spahr Center is an organization in Corte Madera, CA that serves, supports and empowers the LGBT community of Marin County. He has also donated his time and expertise by way of pro bono hours to families in need. When he's not working, he's likely somewhere outdoors in the garden or on a hiking trail, doing downward dog at the local yoga studio, enjoying an opera - Tosca is his favorite, practicing piano, reading a novel, or cooking dinner for a group of friends.
